Iranians have been glorifying their ancient celebrations through lightening and fireworks. Among these celebrations, centennial (Sadeh) feast has been more acquainted with fire and fireworks in a way that it was called "the feast of fireworks". The present survey is taking a look at the holiness of fire for Iranians and the resulted challenges of the collision of Islamic custom with centennial feast, taking into consideration its non-Islamic nature, and manifestation of some of the traditions of this feast in Arabic literature of Islamic era.
